A Louisiana native, born and raised in New Orleans, surrounded by the arts and music, Naomi Celestin graduates from The University of Southwestern Louisiana with a degree in Archeology.
Naomi spends the next 10 years in non-profit, at the Acadiana Arts Council, in administration and fundraising. A maker at heart, Naomi starts dabbling in metalsmithing. Coming across some old guitar strings, Naomi has her ‘aha’ moment.
ReStrung Jewelry is born in 2011, a fusion of all her passions; art, music, giving back to the community, and the desire to create a quality American Made product.
RECYCLED: ReStrung cleans and polishes unused, broken, or worn-out musicians strings.
REPURPOSED: ReStrung sources semi-precious stones from mines and distributors that have ethical and low environmental impact practices. They also find materials in flea markets, tag sales, junk shops, and yard sales, all perfect places to find vintage coral, pearls, turquoise, and other stones, creating an eclectic collection.
